Have you ever imagined a dental treatment without the need for shots and drill, then experience no pain dentistry with WaterLase Dental Laser.
This versatile device performs a host of both tooth and soft tissue procedures, often times with no need for local anesthesia. The laser lacks the heat and vibration of the dental drill, so the procedure is quite comfortable for most patients. For soft tissue procedures it eliminates the need for suturing and healing is much faster due to wound sterilization and the atraumatic effect of the laser on surrounding tissues.

We also use lasers to diagnose cavities. The Diagnodent machine uses laser fluorescence to find hidden decay in teeth at the earliest stages. Small lesions are found much sooner than if traditional instrument methods are used. We also can identify decay so early that it can be reversed through hygiene, diet, and fluoride measures such that it may never need a filling.
Advantages of Laser Dentistry include:
- Less Pain
- Minimal Bleeding
- Reduced risk of infection
- Minimal or No Anesthesia
- No noise (No drilling)
- Faster Healing
- A more sterilized environment (laser kills bacteria)
- Treatment or canker

Clinical benefits of the Waterlase®
The Waterlase® uses HYDROKINETIC® technology to perform a variety of dental procedures, including cavity preparation, caries removal, tooth etching and a wide range of soft tissue (gum) procedures.
- The Waterlase® significantly improves patients' comfort
in the dentist's chair: 98.5% of patients treated with the Waterlase
system reported no discomfort during the procedure in a randomized,
double-blind clinical trial conducted at the University of the Pacific.
- Because it does not cause heat or vibration in the mouth,
Waterlase® may ease the pain and anxiety of patients who fear the vibration
and high-pitched whine of traditional drills. In contrast, the Waterlase®
makes a gentle "tapping" noise.
- Waterlase® uses a cool-water spray to cut teeth
without generating heat. Conventional drills and lasers can overheat teeth
during procedures, inducing discomfort and irreversibly damaging the soft
tissue or pulp underneath.
